Get Ready for Boomerang Jack

Indie studio Recall Interactive has announced that Boomerang Jack, their upcoming action RPG, will officially launch on Steam in Summer 2025. Players can already get a taste of the action with a free demo, and an extended gameplay trailer is available for a deeper look at what’s in store.

In Boomerang Jack, players take on the role of Jack, a globe-trotting adventurer armed with a powerful boomerang. The mission is to defeat the fearsome Pirate King and save the world. As you travel through varied environments, you’ll upgrade Jack’s abilities and gear, and battle increasingly challenging enemies. All while uncovering a deeper narrative beneath the surface.

Combat in the game is built around mixing light and heavy attacks to create devastating combos. You can produce different effects like crowd control, area damage, or precision strikes. Players will face off against 26 distinct enemy types and seven complex, multi-phase bosses. Time manipulation mechanics let Jack dash in bullet time and redirect projectiles. While telekinetic tornadoes add a strategic layer to battles.

Platforming is a key part of exploration, requiring precise use of the grappling hook and dash mechanics to navigate. A style meter rewards creative and efficient play, making the game accessible to newcomers while still offering a challenge for veterans seeking mastery.

With fast-paced action, deep mechanics, and a rich world to explore, Boomerang Jack promises a thrilling journey when it launches next year.
